I had no objection to a marriage between him and my daughter.

On 3rd June she returned to Hong Kong.

I look at Ext.17. It is a photograph of my daughter and Im Chun. This photograph was sent to me a month after my daughter's marriage.

I got it from Im Chun about a month after my daughter's return to Hong Kong.

In July I came to Hong Kong on their invitation.

I came on 17th July and stayed at Tai Lo Tin Hotel, Des Vouex Road Central.

My daughter and Im @hun visited me there.

That was the first time I saw him: I approved of him.

Accused came to look for me on 19th July after I had seen Im Chun and Keung.

He told me he had been intimate with my daughter.

I nevervsuspected any thing of the sort.

He told me he had heard she was married to Im Chun and asked me

to force a separation as he and she had been intimate.

I did my best to pacify acoused and scolded him and he kept quiet.

He then asked me for a loan: I refused and he left.

Acoused never asked my dughter in marriage either as wife or concubine.

I don't know if she was then pregnant.

I don't know if she gave birth to a daughter on 18th Dec.1933.

On 1st June she asked me to consent to her marriage with Im Chun. I made no objection.

Ky wife came to Hong Kong with my daughter for the marriage.

I don't know what sort of ceremony there was.

I first met Im Chun on 17th July.

Karly morning of 21st July I was on patrol.

At 2.40 a.m. I came into lai Chi Kok Road going from Boundary Street, to Prince Edward Road. I was on my left hand side of the roud.

When I came to 211 I heard a commotion.

The door was opened and I saw a crowd inside.

A report was made to me and I called P.C.D.91 who was on the

other side of the road.

I went with him into the backyard and there I saw this rope (kx.

14) hanging from the roof to the ground behind 211.

I went up to the top floor with P.C.D.91.

The door was shut.

The door was opened and we went in.

I went first to the kitchen and found nothing.
